Senegalese-American singer, Akon, has said he was much happier when he was poor because life is tougher for the rich than the poor he had said this during an interview.

He admitted that he was happy when he was poor, claiming that success comes with a slew of issues. “No one can sit there and tell me I didn’t grow up in poverty. I was a little African boy who played soccer barefoot in a village with no electricity or running water.

”I understood what that looked like, and believe me, I’ve seen poverty.”

”But I also know what success looks like, and from personal experience, I’m having more trouble coping with all of the responsibilities that come with it than I did when I was poor. He stated, “I was truly happy when I was poor.”
