Judy Austin Legal Threat escalates dispute with ex-husband Emmanuel Obasi over claims about her relationship timeline with Yul Edochie

Nollywood actress Judy Austin has responded sharply to allegations made by her ex-husband Emmanuel Obasi, threatening legal action over claims concerning the timeline of her relationship with actor Yul Edochie.

The dispute intensified after Emmanuel Obasi appeared on the Honest Bunch podcast, where he alleged that Judy Austin had shown early admiration for Yul Edochie during their marriage and suggested a connection between them prior to her divorce.

In a video response shared on Instagram, Judy Austin dismissed the claims as false and contradictory, insisting that her former husband had misrepresented key details about their marital history.

She stated that her marriage to Obasi ended in 2012, contrary to his version of events, and maintained that she did not meet Yul Edochie until 2016 on a movie set.

According to her, there was no relationship or contact between them prior to that meeting, and she only entered Nollywood after encouragement from industry contacts.

Judy Austin described the allegations as an attempt to damage her reputation and involve Yul Edochie in a personal dispute that had already been settled legally.

She further warned that she was prepared to pursue the matter in court, insisting that Obasi must prove his claims beyond reasonable doubt.

“See you in court,” she said, reinforcing her position that the allegations would be challenged through legal channels.

The actress also addressed claims relating to her children, denying that she restricted access and stating that they had lived with her parents for several years before relocating to Enugu in 2018.

She defended Yul Edochie, stating that he had played a supportive role in her children’s lives, including providing financial and educational assistance.

Her comments have since generated widespread reactions across social media, with public opinion divided over the ongoing dispute.

The controversy adds another layer to the long-running public tension between the parties involved, which continues to attract attention within Nollywood circles.
