[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Kaduna State Police Command has announced the successful rescue of 23 kidnapped victims in a joint operation with military personnel.

Acting on credible intelligence about the movement of armed bandits in the Kajuru area, the police launched an operation near Doka Village in Kajuru Local Government Area (LGA), where they encountered a group of bandits attempting to relocate their victims to Kajuru Forest.
The operation, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kajuru Division and supported by military forces, resulted in heavy casualties for the bandits, forcing them to retreat into the forest with gunshot wounds.
The coordinated effort led to the rescue of the 23 victims, who had previously been abducted from Kauru LGA.
In a statement, the police confirmed that all the rescued victims have been safely reunited with their families. “The victims have since been safely reunited with their families,” the statement read.
The Kaduna Police Command has since heightened surveillance in the area and intensified patrols to prevent further criminal activities.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, reassured the public of the command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents across the state.
