The Kano State High Court adjourns the bribery and misappropriation case against APC Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje and others to April 15, 2025
[dropcap]A[/dropcap] Kano State High Court has adjourned the ongoing case involving the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, his wife, Hafsat Umar, and six others until April 15, 2025, for the hearing of all pending preliminary objections.

The Kano State Government filed an eight-count charge against the defendants, alleging bribery, misappropriation, and diversion of public funds amounting to billions of Naira. The accused include:
– Abdullahi Ganduje (APC National Chairman)
– Hafsat Umar (Ganduje’s wife)
– Abubakar Bawuro
– Umar Abdullahi Umar
– Jibrilla Muhammad
– Lamash Properties Limited
– Safari Textiles Limited
– Lasage General Enterprises Limited
During Thursday’s court session, multiple defence counsels sought extensions of time to regularise legal filings and respond to preliminary objections.
While some lawyers expressed readiness to proceed, others cited pending applications and requested additional time.
Justice Amina Adamu-Aliyu granted all motions for extension and adjourned the case until April 15, 2025 for further hearings.
