Kidnapping: Nigerian pirate reveals why they prefer Americans, French over Indians, Filipinos (Video)

A Nigerian pirate leader has revealed the reason some nationalities are not their targets during kidnapping operations.

In an interview, the pirate, who was a wearing mask and simply known as Black Devil, explained that his gang prefers to kidnap the citizens of the United State of America and France over Indians and Filipinos because it is more lucrative.

The father of five also claimed that he doesn’t use banks for ransom collections, while taking the interviewer into how they live.

The mini documentary exposed how the oil producing communities in Nigeria are being exploited and left impoverished.

“If I may say, we have AGIP company. But I believe we have no benefit from them. So up till now, we have no employment; nothing, nothing,” Obuguru Community Chief, Fred, said.

Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) is Eni’s subsidiary operating in the land and swamp areas of the Niger Delta. Eni has been present in Nigeria since 1962 through its subsidiary Nigerian Agip Oil Company: in the country it works in the Exploration & Production sector in concessions in the states of Imo, Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa.
