King Mitchy alive as management retracts earlier death claim following hospital denial amid social media controversy

Michelle Mukoro, widely known as influencer King Mitchy, is alive after her management publicly withdrew an earlier announcement claiming she had died.

The update, posted on Sunday, reversed the previous statement that alleged Michelle Mukoro had passed away at a hospital in Abuja.

“Michelle is okay now,” the brief message from management read, offering no further explanation.

The dramatic clarification followed a wave of confusion and public concern sparked by an earlier claim that King Mitchy alive status had changed after a medical emergency.

Her team had initially stated that she died at Prime Care Hospital in Abuja despite attempts to resuscitate her, and urged the public to respect her family’s privacy.

However, Prime Care Hospital swiftly denied the report, maintaining that Michelle Mukoro was never admitted to the facility.

The hospital warned that it would pursue legal action against those responsible for circulating what it described as false information.

The controversy unfolded against the backdrop of a heated social media dispute between Michelle Mukoro and activist VeryDarkMan over allegations linked to her charitable activities.

Michelle Mukoro had recently claimed she renovated a school within six days and challenged VeryDarkMan over his handling of public donations since 2025.

Tensions escalated after VeryDarkMan alleged that Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, was funding her philanthropic projects.

The dispute reportedly led to the loss of Michelle Mukoro’s business Instagram account, further fuelling online speculation.

In a deeply troubling live video that circulated widely, the influencer was seen consuming a substance believed to be a bleach product commonly referred to as hypo.

The footage intensified fears about her wellbeing and prompted urgent calls for clarity.

Sunday’s confirmation that King Mitchy alive status remains unchanged has brought relief to supporters, though questions linger about how the false death claim emerged and the potential legal consequences.

As of press time, neither Michelle Mukoro nor her management had provided a detailed account of the sequence of events that led to the erroneous announcement.
