A late-night fire has destroyed six houses and several shops at Kofar Wambai Market in Kano State, leaving parts of the busy commercial area badly affected.

The fire reportedly broke out late on Friday night, September 4, 2026, triggering an emergency response as firefighters were deployed from multiple stations to contain the blaze.
