The police in Lagos have apprehended eight members of a vicious criminal gang notorious for subjecting their victims to prolonged anal sex after robbing them of their possessions and cash.

Under the supervision of Commissioner of Police Adegoke Fayoade, detectives successfully made the arrests in the upscale areas of Lekki, Ajah, and Ikoyi. Efforts are underway to capture the remaining members of this dangerous gang, comprised of young men between the ages of 23 and 40.

The gang’s modus operandi involves renting living spaces in affluent neighborhoods and luring victims through fake job and accommodation advertisements. Once ensnared, victims are taken to their apartments where they endure torture to extract personal information, including financial details. Subsequently, the victims are forced into hours of anal sex while the gang records their atrocities for later viewing.

The gang’s activities came to light following an incident involving a relative of a mobile police officer who was maltreated by the criminals. This prompted the Commissioner of Police to deploy a special squad to apprehend the perpetrators swiftly.

During interrogations, members of the gang, seemingly unfazed, confessed to their heinous crimes, boasting about their extensive operation spanning over three years. They targeted healthy-looking men in affluent areas to fulfill their sexual desires through anal intercourse, disregarding women entirely.

Despite the arrest of seven members, concerns remain as some of the gang’s members have evaded capture, potentially continuing their criminal acts elsewhere. Police efforts to locate and apprehend these fugitives are ongoing, with Commissioner Fayoade emphasizing the importance of swift action to safeguard the residents of Lagos state.
