Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa celebrates Eid al-Fitr with Muslims, urging prayers for Nigeria and support for President Tinubu’s leadership
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has extended warm Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslims across Nigeria and beyond as they mark the completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement from his media office, Dr Obasa urged Nigerians, both at home and abroad, to pray for the country and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, acknowledging the President’s transformative efforts in nation-building. He encouraged citizens to uphold the festival’s values of forgiveness, compassion, charity, and patience beyond the celebrations.
“As we celebrate with excitement and enthusiasm, let us remember that Eid al-Fitr is a moment of thanksgiving, joy, and spiritual renewal. Importantly, let us hold on to the spirits of love, tolerance, kindness, and compassion that we learnt in the holy month,” Obasa stated.

The Speaker reaffirmed his support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, expressing confidence in the President’s visionary leadership to guide Nigeria towards economic and social stability.
“In President Tinubu, we have a leader committed to progress, prosperity, and peaceful coexistence. All we need to do is support and pray for him. I do not doubt that his Renewed Hope blueprint will guide Nigeria back to the right path,” he added.
Though currently on recess, Obasa reassured Lagosians that the Lagos State House of Assembly remains committed to religious harmony, economic prosperity, and policies that promote the well-being of all citizens.
He pledged that under his leadership, the Assembly would continue to work harmoniously towards initiatives that enhance the socio-economic growth of Lagos and Nigeria at large.

“On behalf of my family, colleagues, and the management and staff of the Assembly, I wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a beautiful, bounteous, and blessed celebration,” Obasa concluded.
