A Lagos trader, Ebere Ezetoha, was arraigned for allegedly defiling his four-year-old daughter, pleading not guilty at Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court
A 44-year-old trader, Ebere Ezetoha, has been arraigned before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly defiling his four-year-old daughter.

The Police prosecutor, ASP Adegoke Ademigbuji, told the court that the offence occurred on February 14 at Ezetoha’s residence in the Ago Palace area.
Ademigbuji alleged that the infant’s mother discovered the act after hearing her daughter cry and caught Ezetoha inserting his finger into the child’s anus.
The prosecutor said the offence contravenes section 135 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Ezetoha pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Chief Magistrate Omolara Kushanu granted the defendant bail of ₦500,000 with two sureties of the same sum and adjourned the case to April 9 for mention.
