The well-attended occasion provided a splendid platform for an elegant display of Korean culture, music, arts, and cuisine. Dignitaries at the event were treated to an exquisite exhibition of Korean products facilitated by leading Korean companies in Nigeria, including LG Electronics. The exhibition showcased an array of made-in-Korea products that have become integral to the Nigerian market.

In his welcome address, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nigeria, Mr. Kim Young-Chae, highlighted the remarkable achievements and advancements made by the Korean mission in Nigeria. He emphasized the collaborative efforts of Korean companies in Nigeria, underscoring their commitment to the Nigerian economy through product exhibitions.

At the heart of this grand unveiling were LG’s latest innovations, including the OLED 65C3+ SC9S soundbar (perfect fit), StandbyME TV, InstaView Refrigerator, XL7S XBOOM Audio, Dishwasher, and Floor Standing Air Conditioner.

The StandbyME TV, a 27-inch battery-powered marvel, challenges traditional norms with its portability, equipped with a height-adjustable stand on wheels. Offering wireless design and expanded connectivity, it allows users to enjoy their favorite content in various settings, with an intuitive touch screen for easy operation.

LG’s third-generation OLED screen for the 2023 line-up, the OLED C3 series, promises enhanced display durability and brightness performance. Featuring self-lit 4-color OLED technology and the new α9 AI Processor Gen6, this series delivers exceptional picture quality with AI-driven dynamic tone mapping.

The XBOOM XL7S, boasting a powerful 250W output and an 8-inch Giant Woofer, ensures a captivating audio experience with Dynamic Bass Optimizer, making it an ideal choice for both indoor and outdoor gatherings.

LG’s new InstaView refrigerators incorporate UVnano technology to maintain a hygienic water dispenser, removing up to 99.99 percent of bacteria. The freshness-enhancing systems, LINEARCooling™ and DoorCooling+™, ensure optimal cooling, preventing food spoilage.

Redefining dishwashing, LG QuadWash™ models, such as the DFB512FP and DFB512FW, utilize innovative technology with four spray arms for comprehensive cleaning from every angle, leaving no dish unwashed.

The Korean National Day Reception 2023 was attended by Nigeria’s political elite, members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, cultural icons, media representatives, the Korean community in Nigeria, and friends of Korea. The event featured captivating performances by the Nike Art Gallery crew, traditional Korean and Nigerian music, and dance performances.

LG Electronics, in collaboration with Korean companies, continues to set new standards in technology, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, cultural exchange, and economic partnership.
