The incident, which began with a domestic disturbance call on Saturday evening, unfolded across Emanuel and Wayne Counties, culminating in the deaths of both individuals.

According to a release from the GBI, the Twin City Police Department and the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance call around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Upon arrival at the 100 block of 5th Avenue in Twin City, alongside Emanuel County EMS, they discovered 27-year-old Zaria Carr unconscious. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shortly after Zaria Carr’s death was confirmed, her husband, 36-year-old Shamarcus Carr, could not be located. Authorities also noted that Zaria Carr’s vehicle, a 2021 Dodge Challenger, was missing.

An alert was promptly issued for the vehicle. The GBI Medical Examiner’s office is scheduled to perform an autopsy on Zaria Carr to determine the cause of death.

Approximately an hour and a half later, around 11 p.m. the same day, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office located and attempted to stop the missing Dodge Challenger.

When officers successfully brought the vehicle to a halt, they found Shamarcus Carr inside. The GBI stated that Carr then shot himself. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The GBI is actively investigating the death of Zaria Carr at the request of the Twin City Police Department and the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office.

Meanwhile, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the investigation into Shamarcus Carr’s death. The GBI’s investigation into the circumstances surrounding the first death remains ongoing.

Disturbing Live Video Reveals Volatile Relationship Dynamics

In a deeply unsettling turn of events, a live video recording, reportedly made by Zaria and Shamarcus Carr prior to the tragedy, has surfaced, offering a raw and chaotic glimpse into the profound marital discord that plagued their relationship.

The transcript of the video reveals a highly emotional and volatile exchange, characterized by aggressive language, financial accusations, and allegations of spiritual and physical harm.

In the video, Shamarcus Carr expresses intense frustration over financial matters, repeatedly accusing Zaria of “penny pitching” him and controlling funds, particularly from an insurance check related to hurricane damage to their home, which he states is in her name.

He vehemently asserts his entitlement to money and a Louis Vuitton pouch containing $5,000, which he claims to have purchased.

A significant portion of the video features Shamarcus expressing a belief in spiritual interference affecting his finances and overall well-being.

He states he sought “readings” that indicated Zaria or someone in her family was “praying on my brain,” “praying on my downfall,” and “playing with my finances and my money. Goddamn blessings.” He directly accuses Zaria of being complicit in these alleged spiritual attacks.

The transcript also exposes accusations of physical violence from both sides. Shamarcus admits to hitting Zaria, stating, “Then when I turn around and punch her in the shit, she’ll call the police and say I’m a woman beater.”

However, he quickly turns the accusation back on her, claiming she initiates physical confrontations, “You never fight me head up… You come sneak me. You come choke me. Why you put your hands on me?… That’s how you fight me every time.” He also mentions her grabbing his hair.

The couple’s communication is marred by insults and derogatory terms, with both parties using extremely aggressive language.

Discussions about divorce and financial settlements also surface, indicating a relationship already at breaking point.

Shamarcus also blames Zaria for a downturn in his life, stating, “As soon as this hoe came in my life, everything went down here.”
