In her tribute, Florence Ajimobi expressed gratitude to God for the life of Margaret Kusimo and for the enduring friendship and sisterhood the two women have shared over the years.
Florence Ajimobi said Margaret Kusimo had been much more than a friend.
She described her as a sister, confidante and source of encouragement whose presence had consistently brought warmth and joy.
The tribute reflected on years of shared experiences, including laughter, celebrations and difficult seasons that strengthened the relationship between the two women.
“True friendship is one of God’s greatest gifts,” Florence Ajimobi said, emphasising the value she places on the bond she shares with Margaret Kusimo.
For Florence Ajimobi, the celebration also represented an opportunity to acknowledge the impact Margaret Kusimo has had on the people around her.
She praised the celebrant’s kindness, love, wisdom and generosity, describing those qualities as important parts of the legacy Margaret Kusimo has built over seven decades.
The milestone was also framed as a testimony to faith and perseverance. Florence Ajimobi described Margaret Kusimo’s journey as evidence of God’s faithfulness, mercy and sustaining power.
Florence Ajimobi prayed that the new decade would bring Margaret Kusimo greater peace, sound health, renewed strength, divine favour and overflowing joy.
She also prayed for continued love and happiness in Margaret Kusimo’s home, while expressing hope that the celebrant’s latter years would be greater than her former years.
The warmth of the tribute was particularly evident in Florence Ajimobi’s recollection of the memories the two friends have created together.
From moments of laughter to periods that tested their resilience, those experiences have helped shape a relationship Florence Ajimobi described with deep affection.
The celebration therefore carried a significance beyond the numerical milestone.
For Florence Ajimobi, Margaret Kusimo’s 70th birthday provided a moment to celebrate the enduring value of genuine friendship and the privilege of having people who remain present through different seasons of life.
“Thank you for being the wonderful woman that you are,” Florence Ajimobi said, expressing appreciation for Margaret Kusimo’s friendship, love and sisterhood.
