Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has paid glowing tribute to veteran actress Sola Sobowale while reflecting on one of the earliest moments in her acting career.

Mercy Aigbe lauds Sola Sobowale moment surfaced after the actress shared a throwback video from a movie set where she first worked alongside the respected film star.

In the emotional post, Aigbe described Sobowale as an icon, a powerhouse and a true inspiration, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to feature in her movie, “Ohun Oko Somida.”

According to Aigbe, the experience became a defining part of her journey in Nollywood and contributed significantly to her growth within the industry.

The heartfelt tribute comes at a period when Aigbe has increasingly reflected on her career milestones and longevity in the entertainment industry.

Earlier this month, the actress celebrated over two decades in Nollywood, sharing memories from the movie that brought her mainstream recognition while appreciating fans for their unwavering support throughout her career.

The award winning actress also recently spoke about challenges she faced in the industry, recalling an encounter with a female producer who allegedly attempted to undermine her professionally.

Despite the obstacles, Aigbe has continued to enjoy remarkable success, including winning Best Supporting Actress at the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for her role in “Farmer’s Bride.”
