Former England international Paul Merson has predicted that Arsenal will only win the Premier League title this season despite their strong campaign.
The Paul Merson Arsenal title prediction comes after Arsenal suffered a heavy defeat to Manchester City in a recent cup final, which he described as a “footballing lesson.”

Merson, speaking on Sky Sports, said Manchester City completely dominated Arsenal in the second half of the match, leaving Mikel Arteta’s side overwhelmed and unable to respond.
He claimed Arsenal struggled to maintain possession during the game, adding that the defeat could have a psychological impact on the squad.
According to him, Arsenal remain strong enough to beat most teams in the Premier League run-in but may struggle in other competitions.
He suggested that Manchester City still look dangerous in domestic cup competitions, while also questioning Arsenal’s chances in the UEFA Champions League against top European opposition.
Merson concluded that, based on the performance against City, Arsenal may end the season with only the league title, despite earlier hopes of winning multiple trophies.
