‘Misdirected!’ Toke Makinwa writes alleged sugar daddy over law suit

A Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa, has denied claims that she vowed to sue an Abuja based businessman, Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar, over unfulfilled promises.

Recall that a post was published online weeks ago where it was alleged that Makinwa was romantically involved with Abubakar and that she was suing him for unfulfilled promise he made before their relationship commenced.

After the scandalous report went viral, Abubakar, through his lawyers, demanded that the beautiful media personality retract all allegations and apologize for defamation of character or face a N50 billion lawsuit. The said business man also went as far as claiming that he never knew who Toke Makinwa was before the report, denying both of them being in a relationship.

However, in a latest development, Toke Makinwa has responded that she was not responsible for the allegation as its was all a figment of the imagination of the blogger. She advised Abubakar should rather sue the platform that broke the news as angers toward her were misdirected.

In a letter she publicly shared through her Instagram handle and by her lawyer, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, Toke described the online publication as the handwork of mischief makers, who want to exploit her personality to attract traffic on their blog.

Furthermore, Toke denied ever knowing Alhaji Aliyu and also implored him to take actions against the online blogger who claimed she did what she did not do.

Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar, in a statement signed by his media aide, Kadiri Joseph, said he has directed his lawyers to acknowledge receipt of the letter.

He, however, said considering the gravity of the allegations leveled against him, he would not handle the matter with kids gloves and will be briefing his lawyers on further actions to take.
