Moore made the remarks in a post published on her verified X account, where she expressed appreciation to Nigerians who, according to her, defended a fellow citizen wrongly accused of stealing money onboard an aircraft.
In the post, Moore alleged that the foreign passenger had initially claimed that a Nigerian traveller stole money during the flight but was later confronted by other passengers who disputed the accusation.
“Thank you to all Nigerians that stood up for the foreigner, who stole money onboard and wanted to lie on a Nigerian that he was the one that stole the money,” Moore wrote.
Moore further questioned how a passenger could allegedly purchase an international flight ticket only to engage in theft while travelling, describing the situation as troubling.
The commentator added that without the intervention of other Nigerians onboard, the accused citizen might have returned home facing unjust stigma, warning that such incidents could reinforce harmful stereotypes against Nigerians abroad.
Observers say the episode has sparked renewed conversations online about national image, accountability during international travel, and the growing role of passengers in challenging misinformation in real time.
