Morayo Afolabi-Brown Peter Obi comment was out of ignorance, says the former TVC host, who also revealed a personal battle with depression

Morayo Afolabi-Brown Peter Obi comment has resurfaced after the former Your View host admitted she had previously criticized the former Anambra State governor out of ignorance.

Speaking on With Chude, the veteran broadcaster expressed regret over her earlier stance during the 2023 presidential campaign season.

“It was because I did not know him. After I made that comment, people reached out and explained that Peter Obi had actually served them well when he was governor,” she explained during the emotional interview with Chude Jideonwo.

Her candid acknowledgment has resonated with many Nigerians, particularly given the polarizing nature of political discourse leading up to the 2023 elections.

Morayo’s shift in perspective reflects the impact of misinformation — and the importance of seeking context before forming public opinions.

But that wasn’t the only revelation.

Morayo also opened up about her deeply personal struggle with depression, recounting a harrowing moment when she considered ending her life.

“I was depressed. It got so bad that I thought I was suicidal. I remember just walking on the express, hoping a car would hit me,” she shared.

Her raw vulnerability has since drawn praise from fans and mental health advocates, calling her story a **powerful reminder of the importance of emotional support and mental health awareness.
