Mudashiru Obasa congratulates Nigerians on 65th independence anniversary, praising resilience, unity and Tinubu’s impactful reforms.
Mudashiru Obasa has congratulated Nigerians on the country’s 65th independence anniversary, describing the occasion as a testament to unity, resilience and the renewed hope driving Nigeria towards greatness.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Research, Media, and Documentation, Adeshina Oyetayo, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly said the celebration symbolises more than six decades of sovereign nationhood.
He stressed that it reflects the dynamism of Nigeria’s diversity and the remarkable progress recorded despite decades of crippling challenges.
Obasa commended Nigerians for their patience and understanding during the difficult economic adjustments brought by ongoing reforms. He reassured the public that, thankfully, the worst is now over.
Quoting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent remarks, Obasa said the economy had “turned a corner” and was showing signs of stability and renewed strength.
“We are no longer where we used to be. The worst is behind us. The economy has stabilised and it’s strengthening. Now, we can look forward to a Nigeria that has shaken off her lethargy and complacency to take, with vigour and vibrancy, her rightful place among developed economies of the world,” he said.
The Speaker praised President Tinubu for his impactful leadership, especially in stabilising the economy, improving national security and driving infrastructure initiatives that are fostering a spirit of renewal across the country.
Referencing the theme of the 65th anniversary, Nigeria @ 65: All Hands On Deck For A Greater Nation, Obasa urged Nigerians to rally behind Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He described the agenda as the perfect path to tackling the nation’s long-standing challenges.
