N12m theft conviction Lagos as Ikeja Special Offences Court jails ex-convict Oluokun Adekola for three years over N12 million theft

The N12m theft conviction Lagos was reached after the court found Adekola guilty of the charge filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which prosecuted the case through its Lagos Zonal Directorate 1.

Justice Oshodi, in his judgment, held that the prosecution had successfully proved its case, leading to the conviction and sentencing of the defendant in what was described as a clear and decisive ruling.

Adekola was initially arraigned on 16 March 2026 on a one-count amended charge bordering on stealing, according to the EFCC.

The anti-graft agency confirmed the development in a statement posted on its official X handle, noting that the court’s decision underscored ongoing efforts to tackle financial crimes and uphold accountability within the justice system.
