Tegbe attended the event alongside the NCSP Head of International Relations, Judy Melifonwu, signalling Nigeria’s deepening engagement in global digital cooperation, particularly within its strategic partnership with China.

The engagement reflects Nigeria’s ambition to play a more active role in shaping international frameworks that govern cross-border data flows and emerging digital ecosystems.

A keynote address was delivered by Ding Xuexiang on behalf of Xi Jinping, highlighting the urgent need for global collaboration to harness the value of data while ensuring trust, inclusiveness, and security.

For Nigeria, participation at this level offers a strategic gateway to influence global standards, deepen bilateral cooperation with China on digital infrastructure, and unlock investment opportunities within the fast-growing digital economy.
