In a press statement issued on Friday, Osa Director Esq., National Publicity Secretary of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, said the party leadership was not aware of any endorsement lists and had not approved any such document.
Osa Director Esq. stated that the circulating lists failed to include several aspirants who officially purchased the party’s Expression of Interest Forms, stressing that the documents did not reflect the position of the party.
The statement urged all NDC State Executive Committees, party faithful, stakeholders and members of the public to disregard the lists entirely, insisting they were not official publications of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
The party reaffirmed its earlier resolution that all aspirants who duly purchased Expression of Interest Forms and successfully passed the screening process would be allowed to participate in the primaries.
According to the statement, participation in the primaries would take place either through consensus arrangements or direct primary elections, in line with the party’s constitution and democratic principles.
The NDC leadership also reiterated its commitment to transparency, fairness and due process throughout the party’s internal electoral process, describing the principles as essential to maintaining confidence within the party structure.
