NEM Group celebrates 2025 achievements, honouring top-performing staff and retirees, while highlighting expansion plans and robust performance across subsidiaries
The NEM Group celebrated the achievements of its employees and retirees at its 2025 end-of-year event held at the Group’s headquarters in Lagos.

The event included representatives from NEM Insurance Plc, NEM Asset Management Limited, and NEM Health Limited.
Appreciation and Achievements:
Group Chairman Tope Smart expressed gratitude to staff and clients, noting that the group exceeded its 2025 projections due to the dedication and commitment of its employees.
He highlighted that the performance of the group’s subsidiaries contributed to numerous awards and recognitions during the year.
Smart further revealed that the group plans to expand its operations in 2026, pursuing a life assurance licence and establishing foreign branches across Africa, building on the progress of 2025 which included the opening of two new branches.

As part of the celebrations, several employees were recognised for outstanding performance:
Miss Damilola Ajewole, Legal and Compliance, NEM Insurance Plc – Best Staff of the Year
Julius Elusakin, Strategy Unit, NEM Insurance Plc – Best Manager of the Year
Pham Blessing Nnyagu, NEM Health Limited – Best Staff of the Year
Mr Oluwaseun Adeoye, NEM Asset Management Limited – Best Staff of the Year
Retirees Honoured:
Long-serving employees Mr James Onorienbohwo and Mr Amos Omolewa were honoured for their years of dedicated service.
Other staff members received awards recognising their contributions to the organisation’s success.
