The Nigerian Guild of Editors will hold its 2026 annual All Nigerian Editors Conference in Enugu from September 23 to 27, as the NGE conference returns to the coal city capital
The Nigerian Guild of Editors will converge on the capital city of Enugu State, South East Nigeria, for the 2026 edition of its annual All Nigerian Editors Conference holding from Wednesday September 23 to Sunday September 27, 2026.
A statement on Saturday by its General Secretary, Mr Onuoha Ukeh, who is also the Group Managing Director of the SUN Newspapers Limited, said the Standing Committee which is the Executive management of the NGE, has approved the annual conference dates.
Although the exact venue of the conference deliberation has not been named, the Editors and Media Executives, however, will be arriving the coal city capital on Wednesday September 23, 2026 for a check-in for 4-day convention.
Already, the planning committee of the conference are currently putting touches to the event planning to ensure that the NGE members expected across the 36 states of the federation had a very comfortable and memorable annual meeting.
The September conference is the second time in fifteen months that the NGE will be meeting in Enugu for the annual get-together.
The first, within the period, was in June last year when the Editors held their 2025 Biennial Conference for the election of the present executive committee led by its President, Mr Eze Anaba, who was re-elected for a second tenure ending in June 2027.
The Nigerian Guild of Editors is one of the influential bodies within the Nigerian Press Organisation whose membership comprises exclusively cognate and apex heads of editorial leadership and management corps of major media organisations across Nigeria from both the print, broadcast and reputable digital media.
This NGE conference will provide a platform for editors to deliberate on critical issues affecting the media industry, professional standards and the role of journalism in national development.
