Otunba Gbenga Daniel Book Presentation will mark his 70th birthday with four books unveiled in Abuja, celebrating his legacy and achievements
Former Ogun State Governor and current Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial Zone, His Excellency Senator Otunba Engineer Gbenga Daniel, FNSE, FAENG, will celebrate his 70th birthday with a special book presentation scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 1pm.

The event will take place at the Sheu Musa Ya’adua Centre, Central Business District, Abuja, and will feature the unveiling of four books, including the revised edition of Daniel in the Lion’s Den, My March Through the Courts, Path to Justice, and O.G.D. in the Eye of Time.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, TCFR, and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, are expected to attend as special guests of honour, alongside Senate President His Excellency Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON.
Former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, will be honoured as Father of the Day, while the Sultan of Sokoto, Eminent Sa’ad Abubakar III, CFR, will preside as Chairman.
Chief Launchers will include Sir Dr. Kessington Adebutu, GCON, KJW, and Senator Abdulkadir Abdulsalami Yari.
Royal fathers of the day will comprise Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ooni of Ife; Oba Dr. Adewale Ajayi, CFR, Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland; and Chief Dr. Sonny Kokumo, OFR, Adeleja Ujale of Ijebuland.
Former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, executive governors, former governors, members of the National Assembly, and other eminent personalities are expected to attend, adding to the event’s prestige and significance.
The presentation of the four books will highlight Daniel’s long career in public service, celebrating his leadership, advocacy for development, and commitment to justice.
Guests are anticipated to recognise the former governor’s contributions to Ogun State and Nigeria, with the books serving as a testament to his legacy.
