Nwosu made the heartfelt appeal in a video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, where the veteran actress was seen lying in a hospital bed and calling on the public to support her treatment.
The actress, who did not disclose the nature of her current illness or identify the hospital where she is receiving care, said the pain had become increasingly difficult to bear.
“Please, the pain has gone beyond my control. I need your help. Don’t let me die,” she pleaded.
“I am begging my fans and family. I am going through a lot of pain. I have about three surgeries to undergo.”
In an accompanying message, Nwosu appealed to her fans, friends, colleagues and family members to assist with the cost of her treatment or help amplify her appeal by sharing the post.
According to the actress, the three procedures are expected to cost approximately ₦30 million, placing a substantial financial burden on her as she seeks urgent medical attention.
Her appeal has prompted concern among fans and colleagues, many of whom have followed her career through decades of Nigerian television and film productions.
Nwosu has previously faced serious health challenges.
In 2012, the actress battled kidney and heart-related complications and travelled to the United Kingdom for medical treatment after receiving financial support from members of the public and the Lagos State Government.
Her earlier health battle was widely reported and sparked an outpouring of public support, helping her access treatment abroad during a difficult period in her life.
It remains unclear whether her current medical condition is connected to the health challenges she experienced in 2012. Nwosu has not publicly provided further details about her diagnosis or the specific surgeries she now requires.
For now, the actress is appealing for urgent assistance as she continues her treatment, asking those who are able to help to contribute towards the cost of the procedures or share her message with a wider audience.
