NHEA 2026 voting is now open as the public selects winners across healthcare, diagnostics, insurance, pharmaceuticals and innovation categories

The Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award (NHEA) has officially opened online voting for the 2026 edition of its annual awards, inviting healthcare stakeholders and members of the public to participate in selecting outstanding organisations and professionals across Nigeria’s healthcare sector.

The commencement of NHEA 2026 Voting marks the final phase of the awards process following an extensive nomination and screening exercise conducted by the NHEA Jury.

Several healthcare institutions, professionals, pharmaceutical companies, health maintenance organisations, diagnostics providers, healthcare technology firms and media organisations have been shortlisted across multiple categories.

Widely recognised as Nigeria’s leading platform for healthcare recognition, the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award celebrates excellence in healthcare delivery, innovation, leadership and patient outcomes.

Among the nominees for this year’s awards are African Medical Centre of Excellence, Duchess International Hospital, Evercare Hospital, Lily Hospitals, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, AXA Mansard Health, Leadway Health, Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries and Fidson Healthcare Plc, among others.

Speaking on the significance of the exercise, Moses Braimah said the quality of nominations reflected the growing strength and competitiveness of Nigeria’s healthcare ecosystem.

“NHEA has continued to evolve as a credible platform for recognizing healthcare excellence, innovation, leadership, and impact.

The quality of entries and nominations received this year demonstrates the remarkable progress being made across different segments of Nigeria’s healthcare industry,” Moses Braimah said.

He noted that nominees represent organisations and individuals driving transformation, expanding access to quality healthcare and setting new standards for service delivery across the country.

According to him, selected categories will also undergo independent verification and assessment processes to ensure transparency, credibility and integrity throughout the awards programme.

Also commenting on the exercise, Vivian Alikali emphasised the importance of public participation in determining the winners.

“We encourage healthcare stakeholders, patients, partners, and members of the public to actively participate by voting for their preferred organizations and individuals,” Vivian Alikali said.

She added that public engagement remains a critical aspect of the awards process because it helps recognise healthcare institutions and professionals making meaningful contributions within communities and across the wider healthcare sector.

Members of the public can participate in NHEA 2026 Voting through the official voting portal on the NHEA website.

Participants are required to create and authenticate accounts using registered email addresses before casting their votes.

Voting began on May 20 and will close on June 19, 2026.

Winners across the various categories will be announced during the NHEA 2026 Awards Ceremony scheduled for June 26, 2026, at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The awards cover major segments of the healthcare industry, including healthcare delivery, diagnostics and laboratory medicine, health insurance, oncology, in-vitro fertilisation services, biomedical technology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare innovation and media excellence.

The organisers also acknowledged the support of sponsors including PharmAccess Foundation and DCL Laboratory Products Ltd for their continued contributions to healthcare quality improvement initiatives.
