A former Senior Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe, has stated that he is a patriot and will never tolerate any insult towards the office of a Nigerian president.
Recall that President Tinubu has written to the Senate seeking its support for military intervention against the military junta in Niger Republic. He also sought the legislature’s backing on cutting off electricity to the country.
Okupe disclosed that Nigerians should set aside internal discord and support President Bola Tinubu.
“I am not suggesting we go to war wt Niger. But Niger cannot rubbish Nigeria. I as a patriot will not take that. We shld not be quiet cos of internal differences & allow this to happen. Presidents are not permanent. We must all protect that seat else it’s not worth fighting for,” he wrote.
