Nigerian Army opens applications for 2024 Direct Short Service Commission Course

The Nigerian Army has officially announced the commencement of the online application process for the 2024 Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course.

The announcement was shared on Friday through a statement posted on the Army’s official Facebook page.

The statement emphasized that the application period for the DSSC Course 28/2024 has begun and will run until February 23, 2024. Eligible applicants, both civilians and serving military personnel, are encouraged to access the recruitment portal within the specified timeframe.

While the application is open to both civilians and military personnel, the statement highlighted a specific consideration for serving military personnel. Only those who have been sponsored to civil institutions by any of the Services of the Nigerian Armed Forces will be considered for the Direct Short Service Commission Course.

The post on the Army’s Facebook page read, “The DSSC is open to both civilians and serving military personnel. Only serving military personnel sponsored to civil institutions by any of the Services of the Nigerian Armed Forces shall be considered.”

Applicants are reminded that the application process is entirely online, and they are urged to utilize the official recruitment portal at recruitment.army.mil.ng. The statement concluded by noting that the application is free of charge.

Prospective candidates interested in joining the Nigerian Army through the Direct Short Service Commission Course are encouraged to complete their applications promptly within the stipulated timeline.
