Nigerian family Texas crash claims mother and two children in Fort Bend County, prompting condolences from NiDCOM

A Nigerian mother, Nihinloluwa Agoro, and her two children, Temiloluwa Agoro and Isaac Agoro, have died in a tragic road accident in Fort Bend County, Texas.

The incident occurred on Sunday, March 15, as the family was reportedly travelling to church. Authorities are yet to determine the exact cause of the crash at the time of reporting.

Reacting to the development, the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, expressed deep sorrow over the loss.

In a statement issued by NiDCOM spokesperson Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Abike Dabiri-Erewa described the incident as devastating and extended condolences to the bereaved family.

“This sudden loss is painful and tragic for any family,” she said, adding that the circumstances surrounding the deaths were particularly heartbreaking.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa also prayed for the repose of the deceased and strength for those grieving, while wishing a speedy recovery to anyone who may have been injured in the accident.

She urged motorists to exercise caution on the roads to help prevent similar tragedies, noting that the commission stands in solidarity with the Nigerian community in Texas and across the United States.

The incident has sparked grief among Nigerians in the diaspora, highlighting the profound impact of such losses on families and communities far from home.
