Despite raising ₦350,000 and transferring it as instructed, her family lost communication with the kidnappers after providing a bank statement.
Investigators traced the ransom funds to Ayomide’s betting and personal bank accounts, leading to his arrest on September 3, 2024, after military and police traced his mobile device to his home.
During interrogation, Ayomide confessed to killing Christianah and burying her body at his family’s residence.

There are also reports suggesting Ayomide may have been linked to the deaths of his ex-girlfriend in 2018 and his sister in 2020. Outrage continues to spread, with Nigerians demanding justice for Christianah and accountability for her murder.
