This initiative aligns with the NIHOTOUR Establishment Act 2022 (Gazette No. 3 of 2023), aiming to regulate and professionalise Nigeria’s hospitality and tourism sector.
Led by Aare Abisoye Fagade, FIMC, Director General/CEO of NIHOTOUR, the registration process encompasses all individuals and professionals involved in hospitality and tourism practices, extending beyond hotel staff.
Speaking about the initiative, Aare Fagade announced that registration would be free for the first six weeks.
From the second quarter of 2025, a nominal fee will apply. He urged industry stakeholders, including hotels, to seize this opportunity to register their personnel and practitioners during the free registration period.
To register, visit the official website at www.nihotour.gov.ng.
This move reflects NIHOTOUR’s commitment to raising professional standards and enhancing the quality of services in Nigeria’s hospitality and tourism industry.
