NIMC launches new online support channels was announced as part of ongoing reforms under the leadership of its Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, Abisoye Coker-Odusote, aimed at strengthening identity management services through technology-driven solutions.
According to the commission, the newly introduced platforms include a Live Chat feature on its official website and an official WhatsApp support channel, both created to provide faster and more convenient real-time assistance to users.
The initiative was detailed in a statement signed by the Head of Corporate Communications Unit, Dr Kayode Adegoke, who said the move reflects NIMC’s commitment to innovation, citizen-centred engagement and improved service delivery in line with national digital transformation goals.
He explained that the platforms are designed to offer prompt responses to enquiries, real-time guidance and improved customer interaction from any location, reducing the need for physical visits to NIMC offices.
Dr Adegoke added that the system is expected to enhance user experience while improving operational efficiency across the commission’s service delivery structure.
The development aligns with broader government efforts under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which focuses on improving public sector efficiency and expanding access to services through digital technology.
