In a statement by Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations, the OAGF emphasised that the welfare of workers is of utmost importance to the IPPIS Office.
Consequently, it refrains from issuing directives that could mislead or cause unnecessary concern among the workforce.
“The IPPIS Office prioritises workers’ wellbeing and has no reason to direct a change of salary accounts,” Mokwa stated, adding that any application for account modification remains solely the decision of the individual worker.
The OAGF urged financial institutions to implement strategies that enhance customer confidence and fulfil their obligations to account holders.
The statement further noted that specialised agencies monitor the health and stability of financial institutions, expressing confidence in their ability to ensure sector viability.
