The Zamfara state House of Assembly is reportedly resuming efforts to impeach the state’s incumbent deputy governor, Mahdi Aliyu Gusau.
The state lawmakers accused the deputy governor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and issued him a 48-hour deadline to come before them on allegations of official misconduct leveled against him in July 2021.
It remains to be seen what strategy the state assembly will take this time.
