We have followed with extraordinary carefulness and read with exceptional patience the unguided vituperation and mischief of some dogmatic political infants who always give false tongue to gain advantage from any situation.
Such characters are obviously inevitable in politics especially our own brand of politics in Ogun State. They jump at issues without recourse to value and impact, and much needed intellectual foundation to justify and navigate their cause of actions. They could address anyone and unleash damaging opinions on any personality without thinking, except that someone has directed them to do so. This patern of political media engagement only reinforces and compels idiocy, inferiority and profound lack of manners.
What happened in Ogun East during the March 18th Gubernatorial and Houses of Assembly Elections was an isolated case study that should engage the intellectual patience of critical players who care not only about the future of the zone but also the perpetuity of our great party in government.
Many factors both immediate and remote were responsible for the poor outing. Every player both in government and outside the government had a share in the misfortune. Leaders and young emerging players should pay more attention to what is left unsaid than the politically induced aspersions being mongered around about a foremost leader in the zone who should be eulogized for preventing a worse outcome in the polls.

The name OGD is without a doubt a household name in the State and indeed the country at large. The name is associated with leadership and accomplishments – a feat that changed the narrative of development and industrialization in Ogun State. A name that is engraved in the history of governance and democracy in the country. I advise our young politicians in the State to choose an endeavours on the impact of this administration across the East, and carry out an objective reassessment of the chances of this administration in the zone during the pre election analysis – realizing that the closest contender in that election is also a household name not only in the East but of course in Ogun State in general.
It is noteworthy that both Ladi and Akinlade were not pushovers as both of them had contested in the past to become the governor of our dear State. They have both proven individually as worthy of that position judging by the strength of their support base and of course the outcome of those elections. We should however not claim to be oblivious when the outcome of the last election turned the way it was, because we may be forgetting that our rivals were two formidable Governorship Candidates in the past.
My candid advice to those of you writing dirty pieces on social media is that, you should desist from such dangerous endeavour and concentrate on how we can collectively improve on the performance of our party especially in our dear zone. A research in this direction will bring more gains to us as a people and players in the current political democracy.
Please note that, no one has the monopoly of capacity to use and explore the social media. We should rather behave with much civility at this very sensitive moment.
