Ogun: Dapo Abiodun govt confirms 29 new cases of coronavirus

The Governor Dapo Abiodun-led government has confirmed the discovery of 29 new cases of coronavirus in Ogun State.

In a statement on Friday, the state government said Ogun now has 898 total confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Of the 898 cases, 609 patients were said to have been discharged, as 270 others remain active as of Friday morning.

In all,we learnt that the state has recorded 19 fatalities from the deadly virus.

“As at July 2, 2020, 29 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Ogun State, being part of the 898 total confirmed cases in the State.

“So far, 609 cases out of the 898 have been discharged to rejoin their families, as 19 related deaths have sadly also been recorded.

“This brings to 270, the total number of active cases currently being managed by health authorities in the State,” the state government informed on its verified social media platforms, asking residents to stay safe.
