Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde debut film ‘Mother’s Love’ premieres at Pan African Film Festival, marking her milestone as a feature film producer
Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, the renowned Nigerian actress and screen icon, premiered her debut feature film, Mother’s Love, at the 34th edition of the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles.

The screening was attended by Haitian actor and humanitarian Jimmy Jean-Louis, alongside prominent diaspora creatives and industry stakeholders.
Over recent months, Omotola’s film has featured at major international festivals, including the Dubai International Film Festival, the Silicon Valley African Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the Africa International Film Festival.
With over three decades in Nollywood, this project marks her first venture as a feature film producer.
“Thirty years in the industry and this is my first movie and it’s a gift to families,” Omotola said.
Mother’s Love explores themes of family, sacrifice, and the cost of love when power and fear collide.
Critics and audiences at festival screenings have praised the project for its emotional depth and heartfelt storytelling.
The Lagos premiere of Mother’s Love is set for 1 March, with a nationwide theatrical release scheduled for 6 March 2026.
