Omotola Jalade rejects deals that could make her a billionaire, staying true to her values and choosing principles over wealth
Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has revealed that her dedication to personal values has led her to reject deals that could have made her a billionaire.
Omotola Jalade shared the insight during an appearance on the Afropolitan Show, explaining that financial gain was never worth compromising her principles.

“If I wanted to be a billionaire I would have been it easily because I have been in situations where no one would have known and I would have taken things and compromised my stands, but I would say no, and I would walk away,” Omotola Jalade said. She added that many who offered these deals are still observing her career today.
The mother of four said that choosing integrity over money has provided rewards that cannot be measured in cash. She emphasised that her consistent commitment to her beliefs has guided her career decisions, even when faced with lucrative opportunities.
Omotola Jalade also reflected on her early life struggles, recounting a time she visited a rough area in Mushin, Lagos State, to secure money for her brother’s school fees, accompanied by a colleague from the film industry.
The actress said the experience reinforced her understanding of perseverance and staying true to oneself, principles she continues to apply in her professional and personal life.
