Otunba Gbenga Daniel at Alara of Ilara coronation anniversary honoured Kabiyesi’s five years and highlighted progress on the Naval Base in Ilara Epe
The presence of Otunba Gbenga Daniel at Alara of Ilara coronation anniversary added prestige to the colourful event as the distinguished Senator joined dignitaries and traditional rulers to honour His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, Telade IV, on his five years of impactful reign in Ilara Kingdom, Epe, Lagos State.
Senator Daniel, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Navy, attended the ceremony alongside Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Barrister Babatunde Ogala, senior journalists, and prominent monarchs.
Highlighting his commitment to Ilara, Senator Daniel pointed to the Naval Base currently under construction in the community; a project he facilitated in his capacity as Senate Navy Chairman.
To the senator, the naval base in Ilara is not just about defence; it represents growth, protection, and opportunity for the people.
The three-day coronation anniversary featured a street parade, Jumat prayers, a football match, empowerment programmes, and a free medical outreach.
The celebration which concluded on Sunday with a thanksgiving mass at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ilara-Epe, followed by a royal banquet.
