Ayanlade Olayinka said in a statement that the arrests followed stop-and-search operations along the Adekile area of Agugu, where a patrol team intercepted an unregistered Bajaj Boxer motorcycle.

A search of the pillion revealed a package containing suspected human flesh, reportedly intestines.

The pillion rider, Oyategbe Joseph, confessed to obtaining the suspected human parts from an unknown individual at Oritaperin, Ibadan. He admitted to selling them to Alfa Onaolapo Taiwo and Pastor Ayodele Taiwo.

Both Alfa Onaolapo Taiwo and Pastor Ayodele Taiwo were promptly apprehended and brought to the station for questioning, where they confirmed purchasing the suspected human parts from Joseph.

Oyo State Police Command said the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a discreet and thorough investigation. Upon completion, all suspects will be charged to court.

The police reassured the public that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure those involved are brought to justice.
