In a statement posted on his official X account, Obi categorically dismissed the images as fabrications.
He stated, “I have not met Mr Trump recently, nor have I had any such meeting with MC Oluomo.”
The pictures, he explained, have been deliberately altered to mislead and confuse the public.
Obi highlighted the ongoing dangers posed by fake news and disinformation, warning that such tactics are designed to distract and misguide Nigerians and the wider international community.
He urged everyone to verify information before sharing and resist the culture of propaganda that undermines truth and integrity.
“For the avoidance of doubt, if I had such meetings, I would have personally made them public on my X handle,” Obi affirmed.
He stressed that his politics is rooted in confronting Nigeria’s real challenges with integrity, accountability, and transparency—not seeking cheap publicity or praise.

The former presidential candidate reiterated that his focus remains firmly on tackling insecurity, strengthening the rule of law, improving education and healthcare, and lifting millions out of poverty.
“A new Nigeria is possible,” he concluded.
