Portable Queen Dammy feud escalates with legal threats after singer’s viral claims reignite public dispute

A long-standing dispute between controversial singer Habeeb “Portable” Okikiola and Queen Dammy, the estranged wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Lamidi Adeyemi, has reignited following a new series of public exchanges and legal warnings.

The developments unfolded in Ibadan and online over the weekend, attracting significant attention across social media and entertainment circles.

The turbulent relationship, which ended roughly 14 months ago, first became widely known when Queen Dammy, 29, fled the Alaafin’s palace in November 2020, returning nearly a year later to apologise publicly.

She had been the third Olori to exit the palace, after Aanu’s departure.

Portable confirmed his involvement with Queen Dammy in August 2023, but the romance ended abruptly following a heated disagreement during a live TikTok session, in which he accused her of infidelity a claim she denied.

In January 2025, a leaked audio recording allegedly featuring both parties briefly reignited public curiosity when it appeared they discussed a possible reconciliation.

However, attention waned until Sunday, when Portable launched a fresh verbal attack during a TikTok live session. The outburst followed Queen Dammy’s comments on a live broadcast hosted by content creator Afeez “Salo” Ojesanmi, in which she stated Portable no longer existed in her life.

Portable responded by accusing Queen Dammy of publicly denying him despite a recent private interaction and appealing to people of Ibadan to forgive earlier comments he had made during their breakup.

He claimed to have continued financially supporting Queen Dammy and alleged that she and actress Ashabi Simple had conspired to damage his reputation.

Queen Dammy, through her legal representatives Jichrian Legal, issued a cease-and-desist letter warning Portable to retract his statements and issue a public apology.

The letter, shared on her Instagram page, described the singer’s claims including assertions they were “still sleeping together” as false, defamatory, and malicious, and threatened legal action if he failed to comply within 24 hours.

Despite the legal warning, Portable posted further videos on Instagram, defending his claims and sharing an audio recording of a phone conversation with Queen Dammy.

He asserted that he regularly sent her money, questioned her denial of him during the live session, and accused her of double-dating and attempting to defraud him.

As the feud continues, both figures remain under intense public scrutiny, and legal proceedings appear increasingly likely.

The latest exchanges underline the persistent volatility of their highly publicised relationship, which continues to fuel debate across Nigerian entertainment and social media platforms.
