Promasidor Nigeria has marked this year’s International Day of Families with a call for stronger family support systems and renewed efforts to address inequality affecting child wellbeing across Nigeria.

The company said the observance aligns with the 2026 global theme, “Families, Inequalities and Child Wellbeing,” which draws attention to disparities in access to nutrition, education, care, and opportunities that continue to shape outcomes for millions of children.

Promasidor Nigeria family wellbeing advocacy was reinforced in a statement from the organisation, which emphasised that improving family structures remains central to sustainable national development.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer François Gillet noted that families remain the foundation of every society, stressing that the wellbeing of children is a direct reflection of the strength of that foundation.

He added that addressing inequality in access to proper nutrition and care is essential for long-term development, particularly in a challenging economic environment where many households face rising pressure.

The company highlighted its continued focus on accessible nutrition through its portfolio of widely consumed brands, including Cowbell, Loya Milk, Onga, Top Tea, Kremela, Twisco, and Miksi, which it says play a role in supporting daily nourishment in millions of Nigerian homes.

Beyond product offerings, Promasidor Nigeria pointed to its broader social investments, including the Ikun Dairy Farm in Ekiti State, which supports local economic inclusion and agricultural development.

The company also referenced its education-focused initiatives aimed at empowering young Nigerians and improving access to opportunities that strengthen long-term family resilience.

Promasidor Nigeria reiterated that tackling child wellbeing challenges requires consistent investment in systems that reduce inequality and promote equal access to essential resources.
