Prophet Abidoye’s death has left a big vacuum in entire Christendom, Nigeria – Peter Obi

Peter Obi, Labor Party Presidential candidate in the last election, has mourned the passing of leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement, Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye.

Prophet Abidoye died Sunday morning at about 10:00 am at the age of 103 in his Ilorin home, the Kwara State capital.

Reacting to the report on Tuesday, Obi noted he just received the sad news.

He described the cleric as an outstanding committed servant of God.

Obi said: “I have just received the sad news of the passing on of the Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, at the age of 103.

“Prophet Abidoye was an outstanding committed servant of God who touched millions of lives positively across the nation and beyond. His death has left a big vacuum, not just in his denomination, the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, but in the entire Christendom and our nation Nigeria.

I commiserate with the entire Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, the Christian Association of Nigeria, the government, and the people of Kwara State over his irreplaceable loss. May God who called him home, grant him eternal rest.”

The remains of the spiritual father have been taken to a mortuary pending the decision of the church on the burial arrangement.
