Early hours of today, a group of protesters gathered at the front of the National Assembly in Abuja.
As you may recall, Wike has been involved in a controversy, with some angry Nigerians arguing for his resignation from his position as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory( FCT).
However, protester demonstrated their support for the Minister. This came after a similar demonstration on Wednesday at the same location, where a group had demanded the FCT Minister’s immediate resignation.
Nevertheless, the pro-Wike demonstrators, who belonged to the Nigerian Patriotic Forum, carried placards depicting him as a detribalized Nigerian, and they urged the National Assembly to reject the former River state governor.
