The match began at a high tempo, with Declan Rice nearly giving Arsenal an early lead in the third minute, heading wide from a Jurrien Timber cross.
Martin Ødegaard also tested PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the opening minutes, but the Italian shot-stopper was equal to the task.
PSG responded with attacking threat, and in the 17th minute, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s powerful strike from outside the box hit the post.
Ten minutes later, the home side found the breakthrough when a rebound fell kindly to Fabian Ruiz, who slotted the ball sweetly into the bottom corner to make it 1-0.
First-half goals from Fabian Ruiz and Achraf Hakimi sealed PSG’s victory over Arsenal, sending them to the Champions League final.
Despite Arsenal’s efforts to get back into the game, with Bukayo Saka forcing a brilliant save from Donnarumma in the 64th minute, PSG remained dangerous on the counter-attack.
Moments later, Hakimi was denied by a good save from Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya.
The game saw controversy when Myles Lewis-Skelly was penalized for handball in the box after a VAR review. However, Vitinha’s subsequent penalty was saved comfortably by Raya, briefly keeping Arsenal’s hopes alive.
But PSG’s quality shone through in the 72nd minute. A fluid passing move saw Ousmane Dembélé release Achraf Hakimi, who calmly slotted the ball past Raya to double PSG’s lead.
Arsenal managed to pull a goal back in the 76th minute through a close-range finish from Saka, but it proved to be too little, too late.
