A call has been made to Muslim faithful to use the occasion of this year’s Ramadan to seek God’s favor and blessings. Honourable Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade, the Baba Adinni of Yewaland who is also the Federal Character Commissioner Representing Ogun state at the Federal Character Commission stated this in his Ramadan message.
Recalling how the World was ravaged by COVID-19 outbreak, leaving many dead and incapacitated irrespective of individual status, religion, age, race or gender in the last one year urged everyone to thank God for His mercies and grace during the enduring moment.
“Allah has shown us from His abundant mercies and grace by sparing our lives to witness this year Ramadan. In the last one year, the world has witnessed a devastating effect of COVID-19 seeing both the strong and the weak, rich and poor, black and white, believers and pagans, young and old dead or incapacitated.”
“The economic, social and religious activities across the world has remained at its lowest. The gap between the rich and the poor has further widened owing to the effect of this deadly pandemic. The world needs each other more at this point through giving and sharing. We need God’s favor and blessings more than ever before.” He stated.
