A 16-year-old secondary school student has Killed a man, identified to be her dad’s friend, for allegedly trying to rape her.
Timilehin Taiwo, was arrested by the police in Lagos, while the dead body of late Babatunde Ishola has been taken to the mortuary.
According to report, the deceased was a security guard at a public primary school in Aboru, a community in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, before his death.
The Nigerian Police spokesman, Bala Elkana, who confirmed this in a statement, said the late Ishola was alleged to have invited his friend’s daughter to his house to help out with house chores which the 16 year old confirmed she had been doing for sometime now. But on this faithful day, precisely March 7, 2020, Timilehin said late Ishola started touching her inappropriately, when she had just finished helping him fetch water.
The young girl felt unsafe, and she tried to leave immediately.
Timilehin alleged that Ishola forced her back in the house and tried to rape her, which made her grabbed in his room and stabbed him.
After the arrest, the 16 year-old was taken to the hospital for medical and forensic examination, while the police has commenced investigation into the case.
