Real Madrid demolished Kairat 5-0 in the Champions League, with Mbappé’s hat-trick sealing a ruthless victory at the Kassym-Jomart Stadium

Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 26th minute after Real had settled into the game.

Despite controlling possession for long stretches, the visitors struggled to add to their lead before half-time, with Kairat goalkeeper Sherkhan Kalmurza producing excellent saves to deny Rodrygo twice and parry away a fierce long-range strike from Jude Bellingham in stoppage time.

The breakthrough came after the interval. Mbappé doubled the advantage with a deft lob in the 56th minute and completed his hat-trick on 75 minutes, putting the contest beyond doubt.

Brahim Díaz then capped the rout in stoppage time, slotting home from a Gonzalo García assist to make it 5-0.

Real’s attacking depth was evident throughout, as they struck the woodwork on multiple occasions and carved out a flurry of chances against a weary Kairat defence.

With the emphatic result, Real Madrid demolished Kairat to claim their second successive group-stage victory.

They now top the Champions League table with six points from two matches, ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt, who sit on three points with a game in hand.
